Who am i?
Hi, I am Juliet.
I founded ‘SLT with Juliet’ (Speech and Language Therapy with Juliet) in January 2015 and I love my job! I work with children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs and I’m passionate about making therapy sessions fun and engaging for all ages.
My first degree is in Psychology (MA (Oxon)) and I graduated with Distinction in Speech and Language Therapy from City University in 2009 (MSc). I’ve also completed various specialist training courses in Speech and Language Therapy.
I worked for the NHS when newly qualified and then I worked for a well-known private practice in London for four years, where I was promoted to Clinical Lead Therapist and Clinic Supervisor.
Since setting up SLT with Juliet I have worked in children’s homes, schools and nurseries and I liaise closely with children’s parents and teachers as well as other professionals in order to achieve the best outcomes. I have experience of writing reports for EHCP purposes and as an expert witness at SEN tribunals. I also work as a Speech and Language consultant for a local nursery and have been based one day per week in a central London Prep school since 2015.
I’m registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), I am a certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and I have a complete and up-to-date enhanced DBS check.
I work with a small team of experienced and enthusiastic Independent SLTs across North London.
I was born and raised in London and I’ve travelled widely, including living and working in New Zealand. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband Paul since 2007 (he’s often found cutting up resources with me on a Sunday evening) and we have two energetic boys. We live in Oakwood, North London, and we spend most of our free time baking cakes, reading, going for bike rides and playing with friends in our local parks…and dreaming about travelling!
